Privacy Policy

Mental Math has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, or any other personal details. Your exercise history stays on your device. Here is exactly what the app uses.

The short version: Your practice results, streaks, and settings live on your iPhone — we don't store them on any server. The only thing that leaves your phone is anonymous, aggregate app-usage and crash information. Payments for the optional Pro subscription are handled entirely by Apple.

1. Your Practice Data Stays on Your Device

Everything the app records about your training — exercise results, scores, streaks, custom exercises, and preferences — is stored locally on your iPhone (and in a shared app container so widgets can show your streak). It is never uploaded to us or to any third party, and deleting the app removes it from your device.

2. Analytics & Diagnostics

To fix bugs and understand which features are used, Mental Math collects a small amount of anonymous, aggregate information through Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics):

Usage events — e.g. app opened, a session completed, a feature used, and error codes.
Crash reports and basic performance/device information (e.g. OS version, device model, approximate region).
A Firebase installation identifier and a random per-install device identifier (Apple's "identifier for vendor") used to group these events and crash reports.

This analytics stream never includes your actual answers, scores, or practice history. It is not linked to your name or identity (Mental Math has no accounts), and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites — no advertising identifier (IDFA) is used.

3. Purchases (Pro Subscription)

The optional Pro subscription is sold through the Apple App Store and processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details, billing address, or card number. The app checks your subscription status on-device through Apple's StoreKit. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

4. Practice Reminders (Notifications)

If you enable reminders, they are scheduled as local notifications on your device. There is no push server, and enabling reminders sends nothing to us. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

5. Information We Do NOT Collect

No account, name, email address, or phone number.
No precise or background location.
No advertising identifier and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
No upload of your practice results or answers off your device.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data.

6. Data Retention

Your practice data exists only on your device while the app is installed and is removed when you delete it. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to their policies. Purchase records are kept by Apple under your Apple Account.

7. Children's Privacy

Mental Math is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Delete the app to remove all locally stored practice data. Because analytics is anonymous and not tied to an identity, there is no personal profile of you for us to hold, access, or delete.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will appear here with a new "Last updated" date.
